The world’s largest salar

Almost a year later and I’m back on the Salar de Uyuni and it’s not under water! Yes!! Salar de Uyuni, Potosi, Bolivia

Iguacu!

With a flow rate that can reach 450,000 cubic ft per second there’s some serious water passing over these magnificent falls. Foz do Iguacu, Parana, Brazil

The Estrada Real

Following the Estrada Real (Royal Road), a road that connects the resource rich colonial cities of Minas Gerais in Brazil. The skies opened up soon after I took this pic and I was wrestling the SE through the orangish clay mud which made for a long riding day.

Steps of Lapa

I made this climb many times hanging out in Santa Teresa. A typical calle made beautiful. RIP Jorge. Lapa, Rio Janeiro, Brazil

La Posta

legendary in the motorcycle travel world, you don’t come to South America without visiting La Posta. Azul, Argentina

Todo sur

After thousands of miles and a year of travel I’ve reached the southern tip of South America and the end of ruta 3. Tierra del Fuego, Argentina

A stormy Torres del Paine

A fierce storm brewing behind the massif that resulted in yours truly getting pummeled by ice from all directions. The Torres is one of my favorite national parks in Latin America. Hiking the “W” Trail is worth the extra time.

Splash!

the still expanding Perito Moreno glacier, it’s quite a sight to witness a massive chunk of ice fracture off and fall into the ocean. Perito Moreno, Argentina
