Medellin sojourn

I’ve spent enough time in Medellin that I suppose I should produce a chronicle of pictures and stories about my time here. The city’s history, its position as a Latin American cultural Mecca, and its proximity to some of the most scenic riding in Colombia make for an excellent chapter to just about any moto travel epic. Well my stay here may seem boring by those standards. After suffering a somewhat rushed pace through Central America it feels good to relax and sink some temporary roots into Medellin. Albert (theturtleshead) rolls out the welcome mat for me and take up semi permanent residence in El Poblado. Federico and the gang at the Moto Shop a few blocks away make servicing the bike a breeze and I thank him for opening his shop up to me. Much of my time here is spent having coffees with Al, walking his incorrigible dog, Missy, and making new friends. We do find time to go on a number of day rides into the mountains so this chapter is not without its moto content. And of course I spend too many nights appreciating the fine errrr cheap cabernets of Chile. Burp. Stay tuned for the back story.
